In a day of Fall Fun Bucket Lists, Pumpkin Paradise is a new fall favorite! This pumpkin farm is between Denver and Waverly at 1734 Killdeer Avenue. It might just be the best new thing for family fun this fall.

Spend a gorgeous fall day enjoying wagon rides through a winding tree covered trail and indulging in a favorite autumn treat at the "Trick or Treat Cafe". If you are on the hunt for that one perfect pumpkin or a dozen pumpkins, then try Pumpkin Paradise this fall!

If you are in the Waverly area, the Waverly public swimming pool is the best place to take the kids for some summer fun! To start out, it is so reasonably priced; it only cost $2.00 for children five and under and everyone else is $3.50! The kitty pool area is equipped with its own slide and a canopy for shade for the real little ones! The large pool contains a large twisty slide and a second 'speed' slide that shoots you out in a 1/2 second! The pool also offers summer memberships for the family that wants to go there every single day, swimming lessons for those who may need it, and also a small mini golf course that's only a $1 per child to play! To add even more fun, it's right beside a humungous Kids' Kingdom playground and the Waverly Bowl Inn! What more could you ask for?

If you need to get your vehicle serviced, and want great service, you need to take your vehicle to the Service Department at Jerry Roling Motors in Waverly. The staff there is amazing and they take excellent care of everyone that comes in. You will not be disappointed if you give them a try.

Bring your appetite if you stop here, there is a big salad bar, a buffet with plenty of pizza to choose from, roasted chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy and much more. If you want a specific pizza just tell them and they will make it fresh for you and bring it to your table. Don't forget the best part of the buffet which is the desert pizza. Yum! Yum! Oh and they also have soft serve ice cream. If you have a hungry bunch to feed this is the place to go. My favorite thing here is the regular desert pizza even though they have many flavors to choose from now!

This is an adorable little cafe and shop all in one. You can find tasty treats, chocolates plus lots of fun kitchen gadgets. They sell wine too! Wild Carrot is open for breakfast and lunch. They serve great sandwiches and soups. The deserts are off the charts delicious! This is a great place to eat desert first because life is short as the saying goes and then see if you have room for lunch. You won't be disappointed if you decide to take a trip here for lunch.

If you are looking for a fun sports bar with lots of food choices and an off the chart Bloody Mary, then you need to visit the Dirty Dog! It is a fun place to watch your favorite sports team play on TV or just go and hang out. While you are there, you will also want to try the wings, they are very tasty. I can't wait to have a Bloody Mary next time I am there. It is a drink plus a meal in one.

Whether you are looking for camping supplies, a kayak to buy or any kind of outdoor gear, you have to stop in and see what they have here. The staff here are wonderful and very helpful, and are always ready to do what they can to help you. They also have lots of great rental options. You can rent a kayak, a canoe, or cross country skis. They have demo days set aside for you to try out the equipment before you buy it.

When my daughter went to New Zealand, we got almost all of her supplies for her trip here. It is a great store! It's worth the trip to Waverly to check it out.

if you are in Waverly, you need to stop in at Joe's and have a burrito. They are amazing! Joe is an alumni of Wartburg and a big Wartburg fan. So it is a great place to stop for drinks and food with your friends after or before a Wartburg event. If you are looking to play pool you can do that here too. Joe's is a fun environment for adults of all ages.

You have got to go to this diner and have broasted chicken, sweet potato casserole and the salad. It is all delicious! The best part of the salad is their four homemade dressings. Yum! You can try all four dressings if you would like because you can have as much salad as you want. The ribs here are very tasty as well. No reservations are needed but if you want to call with questions the number is 319-352-2455.
