If you are looking for a place to walk, run, bike, skate or just be with nature, George Wythe State Park is the place to go. Their trails meander through the trees and in the spring you will get to enjoy the forest bed full of Bluebell flowers blooming. It is an amazing reset on a busy day and a way to get back to nature.

Carpetland is our go-to business for all of our flooring needs. Their products, service, and installation are top-notch. Carpetland has been a Waterloo staple for 52 years. They do hardwood, porcelain tile, mosaics for backsplashes, luxury vinyl, sheet vinyl, and of course...carpet. We recently purchased carpet and I was amazed that the two installers have worked side by side installing for Carpetland for over 25 years, they were amazing.

It was a cold night, but that didn't deter customers from standing in line outside for 15-30 minutes during Crumbl Cookie's Grand Opening on November 11th. The place was packed even at 9:00 p.m.! You could select from several delicious flavors on opening day, including Strawberry Cake, Classic Pink Sugar, Chocolate Pumpkin Cheesecake, Buckeye Brownie, Cookie Butter White Chip, and Milk Chocolate Chip. The flavors are rotated each week, so there is always something new to try, but the Milk Chocolate Chip and Classic Pink Sugar are almost always available. The large and decadent cookies will satisfy anyone's sweet tooth, and they are easy to find since they are in the same strip mall as Scratch Cupcakery in Waterloo.

If you enjoy watching a good play you need to stop over to the Waterloo Community Playhouse. They, along with the Black Hawk Children's Theatre have been entertaining people of all ages for over 90 years in the Cedar Valley. Many schools even take field trips to the theatre with their classes. Their amazing productions are completely volunteer-run. It was always a fun thing for me to take my kids to when they were young!

When I discovered Bambino's, I found some of the best cookies I have ever had! Light and flakey cookies covered with a sweet fluffy frosting...sooooo good! The owner of Bambino's, Donna O'Brien, is a fellow breast cancer survivor and donates some of her proceeds to helping folks fight this disease. How can you go wrong with enjoying a tasty treat and helping others in the process?

They have an extensive menu filled with soup, endless salads, wraps, sandwiches, pizza, and so much more. They offer a daily lunch special that usually is amazing. Sometimes they even have meatloaf or prime rib sandwiches which are my favorite. I suggest you try them out.
