    I'm always looking for a good way to get into the Halloween spirit. One of my favorite things is Waterhawk's annual Haunted Hayride at Eagle Lake. This is the last weekend to enjoy the hayride before Halloween is over. Rides start Friday - Sunday around 7:00 p.m. offering warm hot chocolate, adult beverages and other treats to help you enjoy the ride. No matter how old you are this fun and exciting activity is perfect for family or friends to have fun and experience a few thrills along the way.

    Join in on the fun this weekend, July 28-30th for Evansdale Community Days. There will be a Fireman Dance on Friday night starting at 6:30 p.m. with fireworks to follow, and a parade on Saturday morning starting at 9:30 a.m.

    There will be a Mud Volleyball Tournament. Another fun year to watch and/or participate and play...

    Haunted Hayride
    Waterhawks Ski Team is hosting their Annual Haunted Hay Ride every Friday and Saturday from dark to 11:00 p.m. and every Sunday from dark to 9:00 p.m. The dates are October 14-16, 21-23 and 28-30. Cost is $10 per seat on the bale of hay for the frightening ride which is located at the Eagle Lake in Evansdale at Exit 68 off Hwy 20. Come out for a night into the scary woods.

    Evansdale Community Days will be held this Saturday, July 30th. The parade starts at 9:30 am. There will be a Children's Parade at 1:00 and an all day Petting Zoo. The Antique Car Show is between 11:00 am-2:00 pm and Mud Volleyball starts at 9:00 am, it is always so much fun to participate as well as watch. In the evening there will be a Fireman Dance from 7:00-11:00 pm

    Waterhawks Ski Show in the Dark will be held tonight and tomorrow night, July 8th and 9th.

    After community driven, longtime Evansdale resident, Phil Muehl passed away, his legacy was honored by a skate park being named in his memory.

    Challenge yourself to try something new. This skate park offers over half a dozen jumps and ramps, grinding rails and a half-pipe with spine allowing skateboarders and skaters to enjoy a new adventure with each visit. Park benches and picnic tables are available for spectators to enjoy the thrills. The park is located just off Gilbert Drive, alongside the Cedar Valley Nature Trail for easy roller access and is open dawn to dusk.
