    The small town of Hudson, population just over 2,300, is located about seven to ten minutes south of both Waterloo and Cedar Falls. The downtown area will take care of most of your needs with many small shops, a nice grocery store, bank, library, new car lot, and much, much more! Hudson also has its own elementary school, jr. high and high school.

    Hudson has shown a steady growth for the last several years with 3 - 4 areas of new development. Homes in these areas sell between $200,000 and $500,000. This town would be a great place to call home

    The Hudson Public Library is an incredible place right here in our own backyard. The library has a large selection of books, magazines, computers, electronic resources, and a wonderful children's area. The library has Community Coffee, and Music at the Library on Tuesdays from 9:00 to
    11:00 a.m. featuring local musicians, storytimes, movies, and more. I have taken my kids to this library countless times over the years. Check their website for up-to-date activities and more.

    The community of Hudson welcomed its newest restaurant in June of this year. Taqueria Bar La Penca is a wonderful addition to this quaint small town just south of Waterloo. Located on the "main'" street, this eatery serves authentic Mexican food in very large portions and the jumbo margarita is huge. Try the raspberry, you'll love it! The salsa is fresh and the chips were served warm and crunchy. In addition, the staff was very attentive to our needs and we look forward to our next visit.

    The folks at Bill Caldwell Ford in Hudson are some of the most friendly and helpful people I have ever experienced in a long time for an automotive place of business. They will do whatever it takes to make sure you drive away feeling good about your experience. If you need a loaner while your vehicle is getting fixed, they will help you get into a loaner. I had a truck that needed extensive work done to it not to mention expensive as well, after talking to them for a bit they dropped some of their charges that accrue and made it easier on my pocket book. I don't have a bad word in my vocabulary when talking about Bill Caldwell Ford. I would not hesitate taking my vehicle to these kind people.

    A family owned and operated dairy farm located in Hudson, Iowa. They sell their amazing products straight from the farm in Hudson or at their stores at Hansen's Dairy in Cedar Falls and Hansen's Dairy (Moo Roo) in Waterloo. They also offer farm tours, with reservations, where you can tour the facility and visit their cows and kangaroos! And like they say they they truly offer 'legendary' products.
