    North of Grand is one of my favorite west-side neighborhoods. The homes are as diverse as the residents. Easy access to all the metro has to offer, close to downtown, Ingersoll Corridor, Roosevelt Cultural District, area schools, dining and arts! Come check it out.

    As a resident of the North of Grand neighborhood I am excited at all the businesses cropping up in the area. One of my favorite recent additions is The Bartender's Handshake. Owner/bartender David Murrin-von Ebers has brought something special to the neighborhood. He is a talented bartender and has surrounded himself with a fantastic staff. The space is intimate, warm and welcoming. You can enjoy a domestic beer or a phenomenal cocktail. My personal favorite is the Karate Kick, which is offered in an non alcoholic version. They also have a small menu of 'noshes' just in case you get hungry. The small appetizer menu doesn't disappoint. Definitely a place worth checking out.
