    I have been a Hickman resident for the past 19 years. I absolutely love the small-town feeling, and it is a quick 10-minute drive to South Lincoln. Hickman has grown quite a bit since I have moved here. It now has a new community center, new fire station, a Dollar General, True Value Hardware store, U-Stop Market, great shops, and restaurants. We especially love the Norris School District. Overall, it's just a great school with amazing teachers and staff. We love the convenience of all the schools located on the same campus and a bus that stops right at our front door. Hickman is an ever-growing community especially with the new Terrace View subdivision growing to the east.

    Located less than 10 miles to the south of Lincoln, Hickman has seen a great deal of growth over the last several years as developers tried to meet the demand for small-town living yet provide access to major amenities in Lincoln. One of the major attractions has been the Norris School District as people desire the smaller school atmosphere. Norris has consistently been highly rated for its academic prowess. The town of Hickman is surrounded by several of the state recreational areas and caters to all varieties of activities.
