While it is about 270 or so to the front edge of the water on this hole, it is down hill and frequently enjoying a south breeze. You don't have to be a bomber with the driver to get this in the water, I have seen many a drive get wet. As a matter of fact if you do hit a pretty strong drive and there is a good south breeze you may want to try to drive the green. The card says 352 yds. ( from the Brown Tee's) but that is to the center and it is a big green so if you hit the ball 280 or 290 and you have a south breeze you will carry the water, and could be on the front edge. Some big sand traps left and right but usually hitting a short Iron in it's fine (remember I said it is a big green). However getting on the green in two is not the hard part here, it is not 3-putting. The green has a lot of undulation and when they are rolling fast you don't want to be above the hole if the pin is towards the front. This hole plays a lot easier if the pin is back as often times it is in the bottom of a swale and easier to get close. These are the opinions of just one golfer (and not a very good one at that :)
